Recording artist, actress and author Jamie Grace chatted with podcast hosts Alison Storm and Jim Mann about her new book. Jamie Grace’s new book, Finding Quiet: My Journey to Peace in an Anxious World, started out as a section of her personal journal. Jamie Grace says she shared a page of her journal with her sister, Morgan Harper Nichols, who encouraged her to develop it into a book. Jamie Grace has spent much of the last decade on stage and in front of the camera, but behind the scenes she has struggled with various forms of mental illness.

Recording artist Jamie Grace’s resume includes some amazing accomplishments—including author of the new book Finding Quiet: My Journey to Peace in an Anxious World. But long before the release of her new book, she found success as a singer, songwriter and actress. She’s been nominated for two Grammy’s, she won the Dove Award for New Artist of the Year, she’s had four #1 radio singles and a gold record. She has millions of social media followers and she’s had her face on a 7-Up cans! Adele once called her up on stage to sing with her. In 2018 she married a male model, fitness enthusiast, and former Chick-fil-A employee Aaron Collins. She also has the world’s most adorable toddler, Isabella, who turned one this summer.

Being Married to the Chick-fil-A Cow

Jamie Grace and her husband Aaron Collins had a relatively short courtship, but Jamie Grace says she found out early on that Aaron is very passionate about Chick-fil-A. As a former Chick-fil-A employee in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, Aaron shared about his experience working the drive thru during a lunch rush and what it was like to dress up as the Chick-fil-A cow on his YouTube channel.

A Georgia-native, Jamie Grace is also very passionate about Chick-fil-A. She and her sister, poet and artist Morgan Harper Nichols, have devoted entire episodes of their podcast to chatting about Chick-fil-A.

Balancing Motherhood with Isabella

In 2019, Jamie Grace became a mother with the birth of her daughter, Isabella. Isabella even has her own Instagram account with nearly 22,000 followers! Jamie Grace’s New Book, Finding Quiet

Doctors diagnosed Jamie with anxiety at just 11 years old. She also has Tourette Syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD. In her book she is very open about her lifelong struggle with mental illness, and how that has impacted her ability to “find quiet.”
